Jazz Crusaders

Jazz, funk, rock, gospel, blues and soul were cooked up together in the crucible of smoke filled rooms, simmered over the fire of pure down home grooves, and the combined alchemy created the Jazz Crusaders. It was the 1960's and the young Texans were breaking new ground with their signature horns, driving rhythms and the blues-funk style that identified their distinctive sound, marking the beginning of what was to become an amazing and legendary musical dynasty that produced some of today's most talented jazz artists and influenced countless others.

Their hits include “Street Life,”  “Young Rabbits,” “Scratch,” “Freedom Sound”
