Slave, revered as the definitive sound of mid-west funk, emerged as one of the most popular funk/rock bands in the early 1970’s. This musical power-house became an overnight sensation in 1977 with their first gold record, “Slide”. The original nucleus of the band had an untouchable chemistry, and the rest was history.
